The High School Youth Ministry program meets Sunday evenings throughout the year from 7:15 through 9:30 pm (after the 6:00 pm Mass). All High School Youth are invited to attend.  During this time we will meet together and share a meal, have some time to socialize and discuss how to live our faith in the real world.

Click here to check out the article, "Celebrate Youth - Volunteer."  There are at least 56 ways to celebrate and contribute to our Parish Youth Ministry. I hope all of you can take an active role in this important ministry for our teens. Don't see anything that is of interest to you but you have another idea. Give me a call and let's see what we can do together.

Upcoming events for our youth:

  • NOW is the time to register for the Diocesan Youth Mass and Evening Extravaganza on September 11th. Forms are available at the Parish office.
  • August 29 - Our topic will be "Two Great Tastes in One" see how a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup and the Gospel of John work together.
  • September 5 - Our topic is Mathew's Gospel; we will see how Oily Water doesn't help our faith but Chocolate Milk does. "Milk it does a body good and Refreshes the Soul."
  • September 11 - Diocesan Youth Mass and Evening Extravaganza. The Mass will honor outstanding teens from our parish and the surrounding parishes. Also members of the Diocesan Youth Ministry Advisory Council will be installed at the Mass. We are fortunate to have four members of our parish represented on the council this year. Please join me and congratulate Courtney Campbell, Taylor Herbst, Anthony Osorio, and Katherine Sumarriva who will be representatives of Cumberland Mountain Deanery. All of these teens are members of the Youth Ministry Program of St. John Neumann. All teens and parents are invited to attend the Mass at 4:00 at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. Teens are invited to stay afterward for the Evening Extravaganza which includes inflatable's, a dunking booth, photo booth, dancing, pizza, drinks and a t-shirt all for only $20.00. There will also be a Putt-Putt Golf section in which teams can donate to our Seminarians and compete for the top prize of a Visa Gift Card. See Al Forsythe for forms and more information.
