Church of the Holy Sepulchre

Virtual tour of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem

This will take you to the courtyard entrance to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. In the bottom left side of the screen you will see a beige square. Click on it — it is a map of the church with red dots. These red dots are various places inside the church — the blinking red dot on the map is the location where you currently are viewing. Click on any red dot on the map and it will take you to that location. To minimize the map, just click on it.

At each location inside the church, you can look around using the up/down and left/right arrows; the circle with arrow give a 360 degree look around. You can also zoom in using the +/- buttons. (The ? button describes what the various buttons will do.) You should also see a blinking red dot, click on it and it will give a description about that location. To get rid of the description, just click anywhere on the screen. You may also see a grey dot too, click on the grey dot and it will take you to the next location. You can move about the church either by clicking on the grey dots or by using the map and clicking on the red dots.

Locations inside the church include of course Jesus’ tomb, but also location where he was crucified.

The following link is the English website for the church where you can get information about the history of the church and other news. All of these sites are operated by the Franciscan missionaries who take care of the church.

The Franciscan’s also produce a short news segment (almost daily) for You Tube.
Here is their website.
