Ad Altare Dei Program

The purpose of the Ad Altare Dei (to the altar of God) program is to help Catholic Boy Scouts of the Roman Rite develop a fully Christian way of life in the faith community.  The program is organized in chapters based on the seven Sacraments.  The Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting coordinates the program. All interested boys who are active in Boy Scouting and who are ages 13 and up,  may contact the Mr. George LeCrone Sr. at 865-675-1306 or 865-719-1548 or lecroneg@charter.net) or the Diocesan Scout Chaplain (Deacon Otto Preske at 865-436-5339 or preskeo@comcast.net).

Come be a Part of SJN Scouting!

Since 1985, Boy Scout Troop 125 has played an active role at St. John Neumann. During that time, Troop 125 has helped around 100 young men earn the rank of Eagle Scout. For over a century now, Scouting has been a lasting symbol of good moral values, as well as of adventure and achievement.

We invite all young men ages 11 to 17 to be a part of our program. We meet weekly on Monday evenings from 7:30 to 9:00 pm in the St. John Neumann School cafeteria.

In addition to our weekly meetings, we have monthly outings that include backpacking, mountain biking, canoe and kayaking, caving and snowboarding. No prior Scouting experience is necessary….just a desire for adventure! For more information, visit the Troop 125 website by clicking here.
