On Easter Vigil 13 adults and 3 children were received into the Catholic Church at our parish. Congratulations New Catholics for making this step in your journey of faith. We welcome you to St. John Neumann Church Community. Thanks to all who have been part of their journey especially their families, our pastors, the RCIA Team members, Sponsors/godparents and friends.
Mystagogy Classes for these New Catholics are on Wednesdays evening from 7-8:30 pm.
“THE FACE OF GOD’S MERCY”

There are sessions for kids, youth and adults. Child care is available when scheduled in advance. Register with Sr. Elizabeth at 865 777-4313 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Registration sheet is also available at the narthex.
Extraordinary Ministers for the distribution of Holy Communion are properly trained and commissioned lay persons who serve renewable three-year terms. They are male and female parishioners who have been Confirmed. For each Mass several Ministers are needed, so that Holy Communion can be distributed in an orderly and timely manner. For more information, contact Richard Groves, 966-6985.
Our St. Vincent de Paul Society is enrolled in the Kroger Community Rewards Program.
Supporters must enroll on-line or at the store for us to receive the benefit of their support. Every time an enrolled supporter of St. Vincent de Paul of SJN uses his Kroger Plus Card, our SVdP earns rewards to support those in need in our area. The amount we receive is dependent on the number of enrollees who go to
www.krogercommunityrewards.com and select organization # 54537, St. Vincent de Paul/St. John Neumann.
Your support of our Grocery Card Program is a valuable source of funds for us. Please continue to purchase other cards as in the past, but if you shop at Kroger, you can only contribute by using your enrolled Plus Card.
“I am the Bread of Life which came down from heaven.” John 6:41
If you would like to sign up for a weekly hour, or need further information, please call the church office at 966-4540. Substitutes provide a valuable support for our Chapel. If you are unable to make a weekly hour, but would like to occasionally fill in for someone regularly scheduled, please call the church office.
Parish Religious Education Classes (RE) are offered for students in grades Kindergarten – grade 10 who do not receive Catholic religious education during their normal school day. Classes are held on Sunday mornings from 9:40-10:20 a.m. for grades Kindergarten – grade 7, and on Wednesday evenings from 7:00-8:15 p.m. for grades 8-10. First Reconciliation and First Communion consists of a two-year preparation requirement. Attendance in our first grade parish religious education classes or enrollment at St. John Neumann School is a necessary component to the preparation and reception of the two sacraments in the second grade. Please plan to register your first grade child in our religious education classes (if they do not attend St. John Neumann School) if you intend for them to receive their First Reconciliation and First Communion in the second grade.
Confirmation is celebrated in grade 11 or 12. Consistent attendance in yearly religious education classes through enrollment in the parish religious education program or Knoxville Catholic High School is a necessary component to the reception of the sacrament. It is expected that students will have completed 10th grade religion classes before beginning preparation for the sacrament of Confirmation.
Registration for religious education classes and Confirmation will be held the weekend of August 8 & 9 in the narthex after all Masses. Please plan to register your children for RE if they do not receive Catholic religious education during their normal school day. Classes will begin after Labor Day. Contact Marilyn Derbyshire at 777-4312 or email@example.com if you have questions.
