May 24th Letter, Mass Times, and Information

Dear Families and Friends of St. John Neumann,

A blessed Solemnity of the Ascension of Our Lord to you all!

While I normally write longer letters to you, this time I would just like to offer you our schedule for the next few weeks. You will note some changes in Mass times here and there – this is done in an effort to provide some stability both to those who can come to Mass and to those who are unable to join us on campus but would still like to watch Mass online… all while balancing the priests’ schedules and giving us time on the schedule to cover other parishes as needed.

First – this week:

Monday, 5/25 [Memorial Day]
8:05 a.m. in the Church

Tuesday, 5/26
6:45 a.m. in the Church
8:05 a.m. in the Church

Wednesday, 5/27
8:05 a.m. in the Church
6:00 p.m. in the Church [preceded by Confessions outside or in Seton Hall]

Thursday, 5/28
6:45 a.m. in the Church
8:05 a.m. in the Church

Friday, 5/29
8:05 a.m. in the Church

Saturday, 5/30
8:05 a.m. in the Church [followed by Confessions outside or in Seton Hall]

Saturday Vigil, 5/30
FOR RCIA / SACRAMENT RECIPIENTS ONLY [future Saturdays will be open, this one is to allow those coming into the Church / completing Sacraments of Initiation to attend with their families and sponsors].

Sunday, 5/31
6:45 a.m. in the Church
8:30 a.m. in the Church
8:30 a.m. in the gym
10:30 a.m. in the Church
10:30 a.m. in the gym
12:30 p.m. in the Church [Spanish]

The 6:00 p.m. Mass will resume sometime in the weeks ahead. We will have two priests at the above weekend Masses and may need to assist in other parishes some as well, so once we have a sense of how many people are attending Masses, or – please God – we can lift more restrictions, we will be able to resume the Sunday evening Mass as well.

Until the restriction on congregational singing is lifted, only the 10:30 a.m. Mass will have organ and cantor. All other Masses will be spoken/recited.

Livestreaming
Next Sunday’s 10:30 a.m. Mass and 12:30 p.m. Spanish Mass will be livestreamed on our YouTube channel and Facebook page. Weekday 8:05 a.m. Masses will be livestreamed on our Facebook page. Next Saturday’s Vigil (for RCIA / Sacrament recipients only) will be livestreamed on our Facebook page and YouTube channel.

Office Hours
This week, we will send you more information on the procedure for visiting the parish office, but I want to inform you of summer hours when the parish office will be open to the public:

Mondays: closed to the public
Tuesdays: 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. open to the public

Wednesdays: 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. open to the public
