Merry Christmas to all of our St. John Neumann Families and Friends!
As we celebrate the joy of Christmas, we reflect on these words from John 1:5: “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
This verse reminds us of the incredible gift of Christ’s birth. In a world often overshadowed by challenges and uncertainties, Jesus, the Light of the World, entered our humanity to drive out the darkness and bring hope, love, and salvation to all. His peace surpasses all understanding; the peace Christ offers cannot be overcome by any challenge, pain, or uncertainty. His light shines through the darkness, illuminating our path to reconciliation, unity, and joy.
For us Catholics, this truth is central to our faith. Christmas is a celebration of God’s unwavering presence with us. No darkness—be it in our personal struggles or in the world around us—can extinguish the Light that is Christ.
Let this Christmas be a time to share His light with others, embrace His peace, and remember that His love triumphs over all.
